Cha-wan (茶碗)
Tea Bowl
A tea bowl, also known as a Chawan (茶碗) in Japanese, is a simple bowl where the tea is made, similar to a cup. The simplicity of the design of a tea bowl aims to pursue the Wabi-Sabi (beauty of imperfection). Each bowl has been crafted by a specific craftsman and each has been given a specific name for its unique point.
